The van Genderen family wanted to do something special for Hendrika, their 87-year-old live-in grandmother, on Sunday (May 17) who's had to endure lockdown with the added challenge of suffering Alzheimer's disease and vascular dementia in Forresters Beach, Australia.

With the family's home isolation restrictions easing, they decided to set up a clothes boutique at home for Hendrika to enable her to shop for new clothes and build her confidence to re-emerge with society.

Complete with 'clearance sale' signs, clothes racks, and even a 'fitting room,' the whole family staffed the pop-up store and guided Hendrika through her shopping experience.
