Police made arrests as pepper spray was used at a protest in Hong Kong marking Chief Executive Carrie Lam's birthday (May 13).

Three men are seen pinning down a protester in a mall in Shatin and began spraying pepper spray after a woman attempted to intervene. Several journalists were hit in the crossfire.

Uniformed police eventually arrived to establish a cordon to push back the journalists and bystanders.
