Fauci Is Latest Coronavirus Task Force
Member to Enter Quarantine According to Trump administration officials,
three members of the White House
coronavirus task force will self-quarantine
after possibly being exposed to COVID-19. Dr. Fauci joins CDC director Dr. Robert Redfield
and the head of the FDA, Stephen Hahn,
in taking the precautionary measures. Fauci and Redfield will quarantine
for 14 days. Hahn has already
gone into quarantine. According to a White House official,
Fauci had "low-risk" exposure to an
aide who tested positive for COVID-19. NIAID spokeswoman, via NBC News Fauci intends to work mostly from
home for the time being but will testify
before the Senate next week in person. Hahn and Redfield will testify
via videoconference. So far, two people with
access to the White House have
tested positive for COVID-19. They are Mike Pence's press secretary,
Katie Miller, and President Trump's
personal valet. According to White House spokesman Hogan Gidley,
Trump and Pence have tested negative
for the virus and are now being tested daily.
