In this step-by-step tutorial, we will show you how to create a UML Sequence Map using LucidChart. Sequence maps are a type of Integrated Modeling Language (UML) diagram that shows the correlations over time. They can map complex architectures, but they are surprisingly easy to create.
We will map out the contacts that occur when you go to an ATM to make money. There are five main components that make up a sequence map: Actors, Objects, Lifelines, Messages and Activation Boxes. Let’s explain each of these when creating our graph example.
