New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said demands for him to reopen the state are premature. He said: “Even when you are in uncharted waters, it doesn’t mean you proceed blindly.” According to Reuters, he wants to use facts to determine his actions not emotions. Cuomo said he understands that people are struggling without jobs, there is more information needed on COVID-19. While states like Georgia and Texas are partially reopening, Cuomo points to the roughly 900 new cases in New York to not reopen.
