Multiple LPG cylinder explosions rock neighbourhood in western India

A series of LPG cylinder explosions ripped through a neighbourhood in the western Indian state of Maharashtra.

The incident took place on April 10 at a gas filling station in Balewadi area of Pune city. Locals said they heard eight to 10 blasts.

Visuals show firefighters rushing to the spot where the explosion took place.

According to reports, several shops in and around the station were gutted in the fire.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

At least 30 cylinders were removed by firefighters from the facility which has been deemed as illegal.
