Follow along with Elisa, age 7, and learn how to make a horn using household items.

Materials:

• garden hose
• funnel
• duct tape

Instructions:

Make Your Horn
1. Cut off one end of a garden hose. The longer the hose, the more notes you can make.
2. You may stretch or coil the hose. If you choose to coil the hose, use duct tape to keep it in place.
3. Place a funnel in the cut end of the hose.

Play Your Horn
1. First, practice buzzing your lips.
2. Then, place your lips against the metal ring at the end of the hose and buzz!
3. Buzz your lips hard to play a high pitch. Relax your lips when you buzz to play a low pitch.
