Mark Lennihan/AP All flights bound for New York-area airports have been halted due to a staffing shortage because of employees testing positive for coronavirus. Flights bound for major airports — including Newark Liberty International Airport, Laguardia Airport, John F. Kennedy International Airport — have been stopped effective immediately, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
