Preschool is the potter’s canvas, that frames the initials of a child’s personality. It is essential for the canvas to perfect for an appropriate molding to take place. Similarly preschool plays an important role in child development. The growth of development is at its peak during these years. Not only information grabbing and engrossing capabilities are intensified to the highest during these years but it also paves the way for some of the innate qualities to get polished. As not all five fingers are the same, so are not all children. The quality of teachers in a preschool helps in bringing out and accelerating the children that might lack behind than their peers. The cultural, social and educational activities taking place in a preschool imparts several traits in a child such as communication, logic, reasoning, thinking ability, social traits, interest in extracurricular activities, leadership qualities, creativity and perspective towards their surroundings. Preschool also provides the required milestones required for accurate development. Though the family environment is more important than an environment provided in preschool, yet researchers have proved that children getting a good environment in preschool exhibit signs of better development than those not getting one. Children at this age should be able to socialize, dress and undress themselves, differentiate between a girl and a boy, etc.
