Criminal suspect seen escaping from police building out toilet window in west India

A man escaped police custody climbing out of a restroom window in the west Indian state of Maharashtra.

The incident took place at Shivaji Nagar Police Station in Mumbai on February 29.

The video shows the accused man trying to escape through the restroom window, before climbing down the side of the building and onto the street.

Reportedly the accused man had requested access to use the restroom and while the attending policeman waited outside, the suspect managed climbed out through the narrow toilet window.

However, he was spotted by passersby on an adjacent building, who later alerted the police.

The matter is being investigating further by authorities.
