Kolkata East-West Metro was inaugurated by Rail Minister Piyush Goyel in 13-02-2020. The East-West Metro Corridor have 12 station From " Salt Lake Sector V" to "Howrah Maidan". Now Salt Lake Sector V to Salt Lake Stadium available(6 Metro station) for metro communication. This is India's first under water metro.This metro enter the under ground before Phoolbagan Metro Station. Esplanade is the common Metro Station of East-West Metro and North-South Metro. The East-West Metro connect The Sealdah Station to Howrah station.
