A 32-year-old man from east India gained great fame for being able to 'speak' at least 40 types of bird calls.

Panna Lal Mahto is a resident of Kundru village in Ramgarh district, Jharkhand, with footage from February 25 showing him making a bird call and getting a response from wild birds in the trees.

Lal has been making these calls for more than 20 years, and claims that birds understand when he 'speaks' in their language.

He is a farmer by profession and reportedly spends a large part of his income on causes supporting the conservation of birds.
