Speaker Nancy Peloso declined to say if she would support the Democratic frontrunner without a majority of delegates. She said: “The people will speak and that’s what we’re listening to.” According to Politico, moderate Democrats are worried about Sen. Bernie Sanders winning the presidential nomination. Pelosi recently held a briefing on superdelegates for the Democratic National Committee. In 2016, the DNC changed the rules where superdelegates only yield voting power until a second ballot.
