Plot synopsis: Kirk Douglas and Susan Hayward spar and spark in a nifty-50s roamntic comedy! Media magnate Dottie Peale has her own candidate for an international atomic committe, but the President chooses Maj. Gen. Melville "Ironpants" Goodwin. So, she asks Goodwin to spend the weekend at her estate. Dottie plans to set him up for a fall ... and ends up falling in love. In their only screen pairing, Susan Hayward and Kirk Douglas share a Top Secret Affair that shows both stars to advantage. Hayward is all fiery beauty, vamping Douglas on the dance floor and after too mamny martinis, wobbling along a diving board fully dressed.
