In the central China city of Wuhan, the epicentre of the coronavirus outbreak, people are hoarding food supplies fearing a government-ordered lockdown will last for months as the virus continues to spread. The suspension of transport links has delayed food delivery to the city. China has vowed to maintain food supplies and urged the farm industry to increase production by “every possible means”.
