Car crushed by huge boulders while driving on north Indian mountain road

An accident occurred when a car traversing a rocky mountain path in north India was crushed underneath huge boulders, which had come loose from the slope.

The incident took place on January 8 in the Tehri district, Uttarakhand, while the vehicle carrying three people was travelling from Dehradun to a religious site in Rishikesh.

Footage, captured by local people on site, shows the smashed car being examined by the local authorities before it is removed by crane.

The people inside the car were injured in the accident and were immediately transported to the nearest hospital for treatment.
