As the decade drew to a close last on Tuesday (December 31) members of the public in Greece took to the streets of Thessaloniki to celebrate in a traditional way.

Footage shows large crowds on a street which has been closed off to traffic, while people can be seen dancing to live bands and cooking up a feast with street food.
