Amazon Issues Temporary Ban
on FedEx's Ground Service.
The move applies to third-party sellers and Prime members on the platform.
It is over the company's belief that FedEx will be
too slow to deliver items during the holidays.
This decision limits the options for certain small businesses on some of the highest demand shipping days in history, and may compromise their ability to meet customer demands and manage their businesses, FedEx Corp., via statement.
The temporary ban adds to the continuing feud between the
two businesses.
In 2019, the mail carrier cut ties for ground and air deliveries
through Amazon.
Up until now, third-party sellers
on the website were exempt.
Amazon had been distancing itself from
FedEx in recent years and making
more deliveries on their own
