Heavy snowfall forces closure of national highway and suspension of air travel in north India

Heavy snowfall in the north Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir has halted transportation throughout the region.

The blizzard conditions, recorded on December 13, forced closure of the Jammu-Srinagar national highway and suspension of air traffic to Kashmir, according to official reports.
