Citizenship Amendment Bill को Court में चुनौती देगी Congress। वनइंडिया हिंदी

A nine-hour long debate in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday culminated in the passing of the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, in which the House cast 125 votes in favour and 99 against. the CAB will be challenged in court in the near future as it is "highly suspect" in terms of constitutionality, senior Congress leader Abhishek Singhvi said on Wednesday.the CAB which seeks to provide Indian citizenship to non-Muslim migrants from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.

राज्यसभा में लंबी चर्चा के बाद बुधवार को राज्यसभा में भी नागरिकता संशोधन बिल पास हो गया. वोटिंग के दौरान बिल के पक्ष में 125 125 सासंदों ने पक्ष में मतदान किया तो 105 सांसदों ने बिल के विरोध में वोटिंग की. अब नागरिकता संशोधन विधेयक को संसद के दोनों सदनों से मंजूरी मिल गई है. इसके बाद विधेयक पर राष्ट्रपति के हस्ताक्षर के बाद यह कानून बन जाएगा. लेकिन उससे पहले इस बिल को कोर्ट में चैलेंज करने की तैयारी हो रही है. कांग्रेस ने कहा है कि इस विधेयक को कोर्ट में चुनौती दी जाएगी। कांग्रेस नेता अभिषेक मनु सिंघवी ने कहा कि निकट भविष्य में कोर्ट में इस विधेयक को चैलेंज किया जाएगा.
