Buffalo calf cries after mother gets hit by car and lies dead on Romanian roadside

Video from the Newsflare archive, filmed in August 2017, shows heartbreaking footage of a buffalo calf crying after its mother was hit by a car in Gherla, Romanian and lies dead on the side of the road.
The filmer told Newsflare: "While crossing, a lorry driver didn't noticed the animals and hit the mother buffalo, who died instantly on the roadside, leaving the calf all by itself.
"The little calf kept smelling its mother and remained still next to her. As the calf was standing near the lifeless body, tears came to it's big eyes.
"Both buffaloes were the property of a family who lived nearby and left the animals unattended."
