Two Jail Workers Charged in Connection to Jeffrey Epstein’s Death. According to a recent report by the ‘New York Times,’ two federal workers are expected to be arrested and charged for their part in Jeffrey Epstein’s suicide. . The Bureau of Prisons employees who were responsible for monitoring Epstein on the day of his death, Aug. 10, reportedly failed to perform the proper safety checks. . Epstein, who was awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges, was being held in a highly monitored section of the Metropolitan Correctional Center. Rather than check on Epstein every half-hour as they were instructed, the two unidentified men fell asleep for hours. . They then attempted to falsify records in order to cover up their indiscretion. . According to the Associated Press, both corrections officers were initially offered plea deals but chose to turn them down. . They will now reportedly appear in the United States District Court in Manhattan on Nov. 19 to face their charges.
