A synthetic 'fake lake' built by real estate developers in south China causes controversy amongst residents.

The bizarre video, filmed in the city of Changsha on November 17, shows a group of people standing on the blue-synthetic-rubber-covered area and taking pictures of it.

A resident named Zhong said he thought the lake was funny

According to an employee from the developer, they have never planned an artificial lake for the residential community and the fake lake is just a landscape design.
