Paramount Debuts Redesigned Trailer for ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’. On Nov. 12, Paramount Pictures released a new trailer for their upcoming ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ movie, featuring a new version of Sonic. . Their decision to drastically change the CGI character was due to the widespread backlash the character received earlier this year. . In the original trailer, fans found Sonic’s body proportion and facial features to be too life-like and inconsistent with the classic Sonic character. Now, fans seem to be much happier with the redesigned Sonic, as his eyes are bigger, his body is shorter and the overall features are much more cartoon-like. .
