Thousands of supporters of Spain's far-right Vox party gathered in Plaza de Col贸n in Madrid on Saturday to defend what they described as "the unity of Spain."
Some were seen giving Fascist salutes while others waved Spanish flags bearing the image of former dictator Francisco Franco.
The gathering came as demonstrators in Catalonia vowed to continue protesting against recent lengthy jail terms for the some of the region's separatist leaders.
