Kanye West's 'Jesus Is King' Delayed Once Again. First, West's wife, Kim Kardashian, told the world to expect the album back in September. Then, West explained to his fans that he needed more time, but the album would surely drop on Oct. 25 at midnight. But, when midnight rolled around on the promised release date, nothing happened. West tweeted a message after fans started to grow angry. On Thursday, during an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, West revealed that he is now "in service to Christ," and his job is "to spread the gospel.". There were times when I was asking people to fast during the album. This is gonna be radical what I'm about to say ... There were times when I was asking people to not have premarital sex while they were working on the album, Kanye West, to Zane Lowe. It is unclear if West still intends to try to release the album at some point on Oct. 25th or if a new date will be scheduled
