Cocktails differ around the world based on alcohol of choice and origin story. You’d be surprised at how some were invented. For example, the Kir Royale was created with Aligoté after Nazis confiscated all of Burgundy’s finest red wines. Other creations, like the Italian negroni, were as simple as just replacing soda water with gin.
