Bruce Lee’s Daughter Stops
‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’
Release in China.
The release of Quentin Tarantino’s
‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’
has been abruptly canceled in China. .
According to 'The Hollywood Reporter,’ the decision is
due to Shannon Lee’s persistent condemnation of the film. .
The 50-year-old daughter of Bruce Lee publicly
spoke out against Tarantino in July, saying her
father was depicted as a “caricature” of himself. .
She reportedly appealed directly to China’s National
Film Administration to pull the film’s release. .
As a result, the movie has been put on
an indefinite hold until the film is altered
to portray Bruce in a more positive light. .
The administration is now
said to be “frantically working”
with Tarantino to alter the film
and regain release approval.
