Jeremy Corbyn shrugs off departure of MP Louise Ellman to attend Pink News Awards

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn speaks about how television drama "Eastenders" teaches viewers about diversity after MP Louise Ellman quits the party.

Corbyn speaking on October 16 praised the British series for "entertaining us and educating us".

Liverpool Riverside MP Louise Ellman announced she had quit the party and wrote in a statement: "I have this evening resigned from the Labour Party.

"I believe that Jeremy Corbyn is not fit to serve as our Prime Minister.

"The overwhelming majority of the Jewish community is fearful of what a Corbyn government might mean for Britain's Jews."
