(There are a few tiny spoilers) The film is a good means of articulating to your friends/families/loved ones/anyone interested why you eat the way you eat, without the proselytizing message vegans are usually stereotyped with doing- it's because the movie was not about living a vegan lifestyle; it's more about how a plant-based diet can benefit performance.
Another underlying conversation addressed in the film was the idea of how we view food as something 'convenient' or 'comfortable', as opposed to using food how it's actually traditionally used- energy maintenance.
As a long-term (almost 27-year) high-carb vegan (who has no problem throwing it down on the mat or on the road) i appreciated the film; i think non-vegans can enjoy it as well.
