Southern California sees wall of smoke from brush fires that claimed one life and many homes

The intense scene is from Van Nuys, California, just north of Los Angeles, where a thick wall of smoke has engulfed the city Friday (October 11).

Reports indicate that many homes have been lost as well as one fatalifty from the infernos.
