CULIACAN, MEXICO — The suspected leader of an assassin sector to the Sinaloa cartel, previously fronted by Joaquín 'El Chapo' Guzmán, was found dead in a house in Isla Musala in Culiacan, Mexico.

Citing local media, MSN reports that 35-year-old Claudia Ochoa Felix had visited a nightclub with a man.

The pair slept late, and when the man tried to wake her in the morning, she did not respond — prompting him to call the authorities.

According to El Universal, the State Attorneys General said that she died of pulmonary aspiration during the night.

According to Medline Plus, pulmonary aspiration occurs when someone inhales foreign objects such as fluids into their lungs.

Prosecutors said that alcohol and other substances were found in Ochoa Felix's body, however, they are waiting for the autopsy results to learn more.

The Telegraph reported on Ochoa Felix back in 2014, when she became social media-famous for posting photos of herself wielding gold and pink AK-47s and sporting designer handbags.

She denied her involvement with any criminal organization, branding the claims as, "cowardly lies and slander".
