US band gets police escort for 'dinner', Malaysians furious

Malaysians have taken to Twitter to slam American indie pop band Lany, after they posted a short video on social media showing their vehicle being escorted by Malaysian police outriders through Jalan Tun Razak to 'get dinner'.
Several Malaysians tweeted that is was a misuse of public resources.
The LA-based band performed at the KL Convention Centre on Saturday to a sold-out crowd.
They are currently on their “Malibu Nights” World Tour.
They have also sold out their upcoming concerts in Thailand and Japan.
