Starbucks Teams Up With Software Firm That Ran Waiterless Restaurants

Business Insider reports coffee giant Starbucks announced a new deal with tech startup Brightloom on Monday.
Starbucks granted Brightloom a license for elements of the coffee giant's software.
In exchange, Starbucks now has an equity stake in the startup and a seat on its board of directors.
Brightloom previously operated a restaurant chain where customers ordered via kiosk, with no interaction with employees.
