The Firecracker Open is one of the most highly anticipated tournaments of the summer season in Kona. In 2019, Capt. Chris Donato and mate Joe Byrum put the Benchmark team into first place, landing a 517.5-pound blue marlin on the first day of the two-day event, held June 28-30 in Kona, Hawaii.
