Heavy downpours cause torrential flooding in northern Vietnam

Severe flooding hit northern Vietnam following heavy rains on July 20.

Footage shows a raging river flowing through a neighbourhood in Yen Bai Province, with the floodwaters washing away an excavator and a truck parked on the road.

According to local media, many roads were destroyed and hundreds of hectares of rice were flooded.

No injuries were reported.
