Shehu grew up in the impoverished city of Kano and was recruited by the Boko Haram when he was a teen. It was the only life he knew until a tragic event changed everything, and that's when Shehu found boxing. Now he's a coach and a peacebuilder, fighting for peace in the ring and in his community.
