According to a new study, over one thousand cases of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) could be wiped out in California with widespread vaccination. The new study echoes recent research suggesting that increasing HPV vaccination globally could prevent up to 13.4 million cases of cervical cancer. According to UPI, up to 90 percent of sexually active people are likely to be infected by HPV at some point in their lives.
