New York Yankees pitcher Aroldis Chapman closed the game to give the AL its 19th win in the past 22 All-Star Games. Colorado's Charlie Blackmon and Texas' Joey Gallo hit the only two home runs of the game. Players wore a uniform patch with No. 45 to honor late Angels pitcher Tyler Skaggs. Angels Mike Trout and Tommy La Stella wore No. 45 to honor their former teammate.
