The traditional red-light district of Tobita-Shinchi in Osaka volunteers to stay low-key for the G20 forum, lowering the patterned white drapes to avoid any visitors taking offence at what lies within and closing entirely during the summit on Friday and Saturday. It is the first time that all the area's brothel doors will close since the 1989 funeral of Emperor Hirohito.
