to Star in 'The Prom' Netflix is producing a film adaptation of Broadway's 'The Prom.' According to 'Deadline,' Streep will play the lead role of Dee Dee Allen. Grande will portray Alyssa Greene. Other big names joining
the production include: Nicole Kidman as Angie, Awkwafina as Ms. Sheldon, James Corden as Barry Glickman, Keegan-Michael Key
as Principal Hawkins and Andrew Rannells as Trent Oliver. Ryan Murphy will direct. Filming is slated for
December with a
tentative 2020 fall release.
