'Jeopardy!' Champion Makes Donation to Cancer Walk in Honor of Alex Trebek James Holzhauer, who won $2,462,216 on 'Jeopardy!,' recently made a donation to a pancreatic cancer research walk. The walk is hosted by the Lustgarten Foundation and will take place in Holzhauer’s hometown, Naperville, Illinois, on July 14. Holzhauer donated $1,109.14 to the walk in honor of “Alex Trebek and all the other survivors.” The specific amount is a reference to his daughter’s birthday, November 9, 2014. Trebek, the long-time host of 'Jeopardy!,' first announced his battle with stage four pancreatic cancer in March. In May, Trebek revealed he was “near remission” because some of his tumors had shrunk by more than 50 percent.
