Ocasio-Cortez: Trump Administration Has 'Established Concentration Camps' On U.S. Southern Border
  • 5 years ago
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted about the border situation on Tuesday.

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Tuesday called the Trump administration's immigrant detainment centers "concentration camps."  "This administration has established concentration camps on the southern border of the United States for immigrants, where they are being brutalized with dehumanizing conditions and dying," she tweeted.   "This is not hyperbole," Ocasio-Cortez also wrote. "It is the conclusion of expert analysis," and shared a link to an Esquire article on the matter.  Her tweet comes just one day after President Trump said via Twitter: "Next week ICE will begin the process of removing the millions of illegal aliens who have illicitly found their way into the United States. They will be removed as fast as they come in. Mexico, using their strong immigration laws, is doing a very good job of stopping people long before they get to our Southern Border."  "Guatemala is getting ready to sign a Safe-Third Agreement," he continued. "The only ones who won't do anything are the Democrats in Congress. They must vote to get rid of the loopholes, and fix asylum! If so, Border Crisis will end quickly!"
