NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard Joins Elite Group Leonard joins LeBron James and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the only players to win the award with different teams. The Raptors star had 22 points, six rebounds and three assists in Toronto's 114-110 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night. Leonard averaged 28.5 points, 9.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists in the NBA Finals. The all-star forward also won the Finals MVP in 2014 as a member of the San Antonio Spurs. LeBron James won the award with the Miami Heat in 2012 and 2013. James was named Finals MVP again in 2016 after delivering the Cleveland Cavaliers their first championship. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was the Finals MVP for the Milwaukee Bucks in 1971. Abdul-Jabbar won the award a second time with the Los Angeles Lakers in 1985.
