Patriots File Tampering Charges on Texans Over Nick Caserio The league will open an investigation against the Houston Texans. The Texans are reportedly interested in hiring Nick Caserio as their general manager. Caserio has been the New England Patriots director of player personnel since 2008. Houston fired their general manager, Brian Gaine, on June 7, one day after New England's Super Bowl ring ceremony. The Texans EVP of team development, Jack Easterby, attended the ceremony along with Caserio. Easterby, the former Patriots development director, was hired this offseason by the Texans. If Houston still wants to hire Caserio, one potential solution could be to surrender a draft pick to the Patriots.
