Steven Spielberg to Create Horror Series You Can Only Watch at Night Although Spielberg has previously voiced his concerns towards growing streaming services, his latest project is specifically for mobile phones. His series, “After Dark,” will contain 10 to 12 episodes and stream exclusively on a yet-to-be released platform called Quibi. Each episode will be a short-form video, as Quibi’s platform aims to create content that is “specifically shot to be watched on the go.” Co-founder of Quibi, Jeffrey Katzenberg, revealed at the Banff World Media Festival that Spielberg has already written “five or six episodes” Jeffrey Katzenberg, via ‘Variety’ The series will only be viewable at night, with a clock appearing on the Quibi application that counts down until nighttime. The episodes will then only be available until the sun rises, at which time they will disappear from the application until the next day. Quibi is scheduled to launch on April 6, 2020, and will cost $4.99 a month with ads and $7.99 a month for the ad-free version.
