Company Offers $1,000 to
Switch to a Flip Phone for a Week A Utah-based ISP named Frontier Bundles
has launched a competition called
the ‘Flip Phone Challenge.’ Applicants have until July 8 to enter, after
which one person will be selected to give up their
smartphone in favor of a flip phone for $1,000. Frontier Bundles,
via statement The company plans to track the user’s data,
including how long it takes to do basic tasks
such as texting and checking email. They also hope to log and observe
how the switch to a flip phone affects
sleep patterns and productivity. Frontier Bundles,
via statement The company will also provide a “handy-dandy
survival kit” that includes a physical map, a pocket
phonebook, a notepad and some CDs from the ‘90s.
