India launches new earth-watching satellite to enhance surveillance capabilities

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) launched an earth observation satellite to enhance the country's surveillance capabilities.

Footage shows rocket PSLV-C46 blasting off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Andhra Pradesh's Sriharikota, carrying the satellite on May 22.

The satellite, called RISAT-2B, was released into the orbit 15 minutes after launch, reports say.
