Taylor Hicks To Star in theatrical Production of Grease

EmploymentCrossing The full cast of the Tony Award nominated, theatrical production of Grease was announced on Monday. On December 2, 2008, the show will launch at the Providence Performing Arts Center in Providence and continue on on its world tour. Taylor Hicks, “American Idol” Season Five winner, is schedule to star as “Teen Angel.” Alongside Hicks, “Danny” will be played by Eric Schneider and Emily Padgett will star in the role as "Sandy." The production was developed as a result of NBC’s highly successful reality TV series "Grease: You're The One That I Want," a talent competition that drew more than 90 million viewers in the search for the shows starring roles. Grease features music and lyrics by Warren Casey and Jim Jacobs.
