Trump: US Didn't Pay $2 Million To North Korea For Otto Warmbier, 'This Is Not The Obama Administration'

President Trump is commenting on a recent Washington Post report about North Korea.

President Trump on Friday balked at the idea that the U.S. paid North Korea $2 million for Otto Warmbier.  "No money was paid to North Korea for Otto Warmbier, not two Million Dollars, not anything else," Trump tweeted. "This is not the Obama Administration that paid 1.8 Billion Dollars for four hostages, or gave five terroist hostages plus, who soon went back to battle, for traitor Sgt. Bergdahl!"  The statement follows a report that North Korea presented a $2 million invoice to the U.S. for the medical care of Warmbier, who fell into a coma not long after being imprisoned in the country. "The main U.S. envoy sent to retrieve Warmbier signed an agreement to pay the medical bill on instructions passed down from President Trump, according to two people familiar with the situation," notes the Washington Post.
